In this pathway of the self-study, school communities explore the diversity of their organization, stakeholders, community, and location and identify the multiple, valued perspectives that exist, while formally recognizing how these diverse voices will collaborate in designing a whole school program: the vision and mission, implementation approaches, teacher professional learning rollout, student learning opportunities, potential for community support and engagement, and ultimately align concurrent pathways of the Global Impact Schools model and approach.

By recognizing and understanding the strengths and challenges faced in an open analysis of geographical awareness, intercultural diversity, multiple historical perspectives, pedagogical strengths and gaps in all contexts, this pathway helps schools to value the diversity of perspectives and opportunities; is inclusive of all cultures and voices in the community; identifies pedagogical synergy with other initiatives; and allows all stakeholders to parlay contextual strengths and avoid or overcome potential challenges.

Inspire Citizens begins the Global Impact Schools self-study tool with this pathway, asking school communities to celebrate strengths in diversity, while analyzing and identifying challenges in these foundational contexts as fundamental to the success of any educational initiative dedicated to the good of all and sustainable development of local communities and the greater world.
