Monthly Community Gatherings

For Educators

Join monthly conversations exploring how to address the most pressing global and educational issues and how to cultivate a future-focused approach to teaching and learning.

Come with your questions and ideas to share, and meet others who are equally dedicated to the mission of global citizenship education.

Each session reminds us that when we work together and connect our global network of schools, this is where real innovation sparks. Collaboration is essential if we hope to build a more just, kind, and compassionate approach to humane education. Join us.

January 2026 Theme: Wellbeing in Schools

Session 1: Tuesday, January 27 | 5:00–6:00 PM (GMT+8)
Session 2: Thursday, January 29 | 4:30–5:30 PM (GMT+2)

With Scott Jamieson (Inspire Citizens – Global Collaborations Lead) & Aimee Meditz (Inspire Citizens – Director of Inspired Experiences)

Wellbeing is essential to sustainable development and global citizenship, and wellbeing is a verb. In this conversation, we’ll explore how schools can move from intention to action. Let’s practice, practice, practice. Wellbeing lives in what we do.

Guiding Questions

  1. One thing that schools seem to have in common across the world is busyness. Apart from “time,” what challenges or potential roadblocks are schools facing as we look to prioritize well-being for students and staff in our school communities? Which of these challenges are within our influence, even if they’re not fully within our control?

  2. When things get busy in school, as educators, our own well-being is often the first thing that gets neglected. What are some successful practices that you use, or aspire to use in 2026, that model and/or support well-being for your students and colleagues and positively contribute to your own well-being?

  3. Where might academic pressure and digital learning be unintentionally undermining well-being in our schools, and what could we redesign (within the school day, schedule, or calendar) to better support social, emotional, and physical balance?
