When thinking about incorporating service learning into our curriculum, there are a few important things to consider. First, let’s consider the scope and sequence of units in your yearly plan. Where do you see an authentic connection to service learning? How might we make a slight shift to the already great teaching and learning in this unit to create space for community engagement and empower students to have a positive impact? How will students apply their learning from this unit to engage in meaningful service learning?
