The 2020 Avenir event for high school students creates authentic opportunities for sustainable entrepreneurship, social enterprise thinking, positive networking, & the value of critical feedback from experts & other global student teams working towards imagining future businesses that work for the good of all & sustainable development of the world.
The United Nations Sustainable Goals and the Inspire Citizens’ Student Impact / Global Competence Profile and Human-Centered skills will be frameworks utilized at this year’s Avenir event to help assess success of sustainable and culturally competent thinking involved in social entrepreneurship projects.
Human-centered toolkit: Skills and tools to be shared during Avenir
Skills and tools for enterprise thinking linked to literacy and global citizenship will be areas of focus for preparation and on-site mentoring & workshops.

Basic Schedule:
Day 1:
· Meet your Mentor, an experienced entrepreneur interested in hearing your ideas & providing you with essential feedback for future entrepreneurial success.
· Be inspired. Listen to inspiring keynote speakers talk about their experiences setting up businesses & the challenges they overcame.
· Learn how to level up your business plan with a focus on sustainability & global competence.
· Network with mentors, keynote speakers & fellow participants at an evening event.
Day 2:
· Pitch your business idea to a panel of judges.
· Compete & win prizes to study abroad & further your entrepreneurial ideas.
Finalize future collaboration and networking opportunities: WeChat groups & other communication pathways, feedback sessions, social events, & next steps.
