Adversity and Change, Perseverance and Hope: A Long Walk to Water
This guided reading unit and literacy workshop was developed by the MKIS grade 6 humanities teachers over the past three years as a way of teaching the powerful short novel, integrating global issues into the classroom, and opening the door to Salva Dut's visit and integration into the school and community.
